I survived the hurricane!

And I FINALLY have power again. There are still many people in my county without power. It sucks in the heat. Believe me. 

The county still has a boil water notice, and we are in a sewage crisis. Poopy water is bubbling up all over the city. Hurray for modern technology!

Anyway, I'm finally back to normal (mostly) at home. So that means I'm finally back online.

How've you been?

That's what it feels like when I try to draw something. It's been a week now and I can't even get a line out. I don't know if it's a creative block, or loss of interest. But whatever it is, I hate it.

So in an attempt to fix it and kick start myself out of this rut, it's time to play the game...

So today I taught a room full of 10 year olds how to draw comic book characters!

It was awesome.

Things are different. 

I don't know if things are better, but I'm trying to get better. I've been keeping pretty busy with helping family members and hanging out with friends. I'm still unemployed though, so that sucks. I do have a one day job coming up at the museum again. But that's just one day. So I've decided to spend my free time drawing, which is a good thing.

So far I've been doing very rough sketches. The awesome part is that I've been broadcasting them live! A friend introduced me to twitch.com and I've been streaming live drawing sessions for people to watch. I do it almost daily now. So far I've only attracted like three viewers, but it's still fun to have an audience. You can view my stuffs at www.twitch.com/nevershop when I do broadcast. Unfortunately I'm not on a set schedule for that yet. I hope to be soon.

I'm trying to get better. Not only at drawing, but at everything. But mostly I'm trying to get better at life. I thought I was getting the hang of it. And then I got knocked down hard. So now I'm trying to rebuild. And I think I'm making progress.

Things are different, and I'm trying to get better.
